Huntersville Presbyterian Church issued the following announcement on March 30.
A movement that began in Italy is spreading across the world. Each evening at 7:00 everyone is invited to pause, step outside and applaud all those working on the front lines battling the coronavirus crisis. Cheering and clapping is a simple way to show our appreciation to those who are serving tirelessly on our behalf.
Take a moment this evening to give thanks for the nurses, doctors, administrators, first responders, researchers and everyone working in health care. If you are able, send a note of appreciation to someone you know who is caring for us. Let them know we care for them.
As you give thanks also pray for their safety. Pray as well for those working in restaurants and grocery stores and all who continue to keep essential operations going.
And if you need prayer – you can submit prayer requests at HPC Prayer.
We are in this together.
PS: Let your kids know the video for You Give Me Courage is posted online. Learn the dance moves and post your own video online using #housechurchhpc.
