HUNTERSVILLE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH: Updates - May 1

Hunterville1000x667

Huntersville Presbyterian Church issued the following announcement on May 1.

You will be enriched in every way

so that you can be generous on every occasion,

and your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

2 Corinthians 9:11

In the midst of this challenging season good news shines even brighter.  This week two members of the Huntersville Presbyterian Church family shone brightly by offering the stimulus check they received from the government to help someone who may be facing a financial hardship. There are times when we are the recipients of financial blessing and are able to share generously.  Current events provide us with new opportunities to bless others.

At times, many of us can use a little financial help to get by, whether it's money for food, utilities, or an urgent bill. Current events have multiplied and magnified this need.

HPC partners with local ministries to provide assistance to those in our community who require assistance.  We also recognize there are needs within our church family and therefore our Session has established a Benevolence Fund to provide financial assistance for our covenant partners and staff.  Support from the Benevolence Fund includes, but is not limited to, utility, gas, medical, auto or rent/mortgage bills.

Requests for assistance are treated with confidentiality and reviewed by a Benevolence Team established by our Session.  Applications can be found online at Benevolence Request

Resources for the Benevolence Fund come through a portion of weekly offerings to HPC and through designated contributions to the HPC Benevolence Fund.  If you would like to make a donation and provide assistance to others you can Give Online or mail a check to Huntersville Presbyterian Church, PO Box 313, Huntersville, NC 28070.

God loves cheerful givers.  Thank you for your generosity that brings so much joy!
