Iredell-Statesville Schools recently issued the following announcement.

2020 Science Fair

Students from all grade levels competed in the 2020 Iredell-Statesville Schools Science Fair on Thursday, November 17, 2020.  Congratulations to all students for making it to the district level.  The following winning projects will advance to the virtual regional fair sponsored by UNCC:

Gold Award

  • Paisley Collins from East Iredell Elementary with  "What Material Do Worms Like Best?"
  • Max Andersen from Lakeshore Elementary with "Hot Dog Mummies"
  • Liam Calarese and Oliver Bird from Lake Norman Elementary with "What Screen Rots the Brain"
  • Teaghan Magee from Lake Norman Elementary with "Food Dye or Food Die"
  • Giuliana Pendola and Serah Ann Mobin from Coddle Creek Elementary with "The Projectile Project"
  • Lila Chundrlek from Shepherd Elementary with "Sneeze Studies"
Silver Award

  • Raghav Garg from Coddle Creek Elementary with "Magnets with Different Temps"
  • Caden Dishmond and Cooper Dotson from Central Elementary with "Fruit Battery"
  • Tiffany Guy from Celeste Henkel Elementary with "Soaking It Up"
  • Danielle Rak from Lakeshore Elementary with "Do Tornados Need Air?"
  • Madelyn Sapp from Lakeshore Elementary with "Is Lake Norman Clean?"
  • Willow Price and Ella Gallina from Celeste Henkel Elementary with "Is Yawning Contagious?"
Bronze Award
