Town of Mooresville issued the following announcement on Jul. 15.
The Pedal Moore(sville) Steering Committee is seeking input from residents at two upcoming drop-in events about future bicycle facilities in Mooresville, including greenways, separated bike lanes, quiet streets, and bicycle-related goals.
On Thursday, July 22, two opportunities will be available for residents to participate in public comment sessions. Starting at 2:30 p.m., a session will be held at Hope Park (106 Montibello Drive) until 4 p.m., and another will be conducted from 5-6:30 p.m. at Food Lion (1088 Brawley School Road).
In addition to seeking public comment, the Mooresville Police Department will be providing car seat checks and a bicycle safety skills course for children. Children are welcome to bring their own bike or use one provided by the Town.
If you can’t attend these sessions and would still like to share your thoughts, please follow the link (https://app.conceptboard.com/board/0dsh-engs-h441-d2cc-brzt) to participate in the interactive public comment board. Additionally, a third meeting at Mazeppa Park will be forthcoming, and details will be available soon.
