COUNTY OF IREDELL: Captain Troy Miller Promoted to Patrol Division Supervisor

County of Iredell issued the following announcement on Jul. 31. 

Sheriff Darren E. Campbell of The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the promotion of Captain Troy Miller to the Patrol Division supervisor.  

Captain Troy Miller has over 22 years of law enforcement experience.  He began his career in 1999 as a Patrol Deputy with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to being a patrol deputy, field training officer, canine handler, and detective, he has invaluable supervisory and leadership experience. Troy was promoted to Sergeant with the ACE Team in 2006. In 2009, he transferred to Patrol Division as a Sergeant. In 2010, Troy was promoted to Lieutenant and supervised the ACE Team. In 2012, Troy assumed the responsibilities of SERT Team Commander. In 2015 Troy became a Detective Sergeant in CID. In 2018 Troy transferred to Narcotics Investigations as a Drug Diversion Detective.

 Troy earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Western Carolina University and received his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the North Carolina Sheriff’s Education and Training Standards Commission.
