Town of Davidson Police Department issued the following announcement on Sep 24. 

In recognition of National Preparedness Month (September), Chief of Police Penny Dunn offers these helpful tips for being prepared while on the road:

Be sure to have the appropriate tools and materials for a roadside emergency or breakdown:

1. Flashlight
2. Flares or emergency cones/triangles
3. Spare tire (check the air pressure)
4. Jack and tools for changing a flat tire
5. Phone numbers for towing or emergency roadside assistance stored in your cell phone
6. Jumper cables and/or portable battery jump box
7. Basic tool set – screwdrivers (Phillips and Flathead), pliers, etc. 
8. Basic first-aid kit

 It's always a good idea to stay in touch with family members and/or friends during weather events, travel, etc... Keeping in touch prevents miscommunication and allows first responders to be available for emergencies.
