Town of Mooresville issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.
The Mayor’s Diversity & Inclusion Taskforce would love to have you join us at the table for our October Community Conversation on 10/28 from 6:30-8 p.m. Check-In begins at 6 p.m. and all residents in the Town of Mooresville are invited. We had a wonderful group at our September Community Conversation. One participant was eager to join because she knows what it feels like to be excluded and she wants to do her part to be a good neighbor and create a Diverse & Inclusive community. These events are free of charge and a way for us to come together in a time when there is so much division, misunderstanding, and chaos all around.
Why do you think Diversity & Inclusion is important? If you don't think it's important, we want to have you join us also. We welcome diverse thoughts and perspectives at the table. Our goal is to learn, unite, and grow together. Will you take a step out of your comfort zone and meet us on October 28?
