Town of Mooresville issued the following announcement on Nov. 10.
The Town of Mooresville's Board of Commissioners is inviting the public to come to the Nov. 15 meeting of Town Board to speak about their redistricting preference. But what is redistricting, and what could change? Redistricting is the regular process of adjusting the lines of voting districts in accordance with population shifts. To ensure a +/-5% deviation in population for each ward, the Town is working with an outside vendor to reshape the current ward boundaries. We encourage you to visit https://arcg.is/1TWKuK to look at the redistricting map options before the meeting at 6 p.m., and we appreciate your input!
