Town of Cornelius issued the following announcement on Mar. 28.
The Year Is 2042.
West Catawba has been widened and life is good. You’ve just picked up your favorite newspaper and the headline reads, “Cornelius named top Charlotte suburb!”
So, what does that mean to you?
In a perfect future, one where Cornelius is widely recognized as THE best place to live, what does our Town look, sound, feel, and taste like?
We’d like to use your vision to guide the Town’s Growth Management Task Force and subsequently inform the next Land Use Plan. In other words, we want to get started on a more perfect Cornelius - today.
Please describe Cornelius in 2042 in no more than 250 words. What is it like in that year, and what did we have to do in the 20 years prior to get us there?
