Womanbusiness

Town of Davidson issued the following announcement on June 13.

The Town of Davidson welcomes its new Human Resources Manager, Judy Dodge, who began in the office last week.

Originally from Western New York State, Judy attended Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester where she received her BS in Human Resource Management and Organizational Psychology. She worked for SUNY (State University of New York) and Home Care and Hospice in their human resources departments prior to her move to North Carolina.

Judy brings a wealth of human resources experience including roles at Beacon College and Genesee Community College. Most recently she worked for Davidson College, before joining the team at the Town of Davidson. In her role with the town, Judy will be responsible for updating personnel policies, classification and compensation, recruitment and hiring, benefits administration, performance evaluation system, and employee relations. Additionally, she will administer all risk management programs including worker’s compensation, general liability, and safety initiatives. Judy will also play a key role in the town’s workforce development effort.

“We are so happy to welcome Judy Dodge to the Town of Davidson,” said Town Manager Jamie Justice. “We know her extensive experience and keen interest to serve the community will be real assets to the work we are doing here at town hall.”

Judy and her husband Patrick live in Cornelius with their pandemic rescue dog, Shelby. They also have two adult children who live in the area. When not working for the town, Judy is an avid walker, loves to read, garden, and volunteer at local animal shelters.
