Town of Davidson issued the following announcement on March 1.
Davidson residents are invited to celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, March 18 at the corner of Jackson Street and Main Street, across from the former Davidson Town Hall building (216 S. Main St.
There will be a brief ceremony at 9:00 a.m. followed by a tree planting along the adjacent side path.
If you are interested in participating in the tree planting event, visit the Davidson Lands Conservancy website at www.davidsonlands.org/dlc.events for more information.
The annual Arbor Day celebration encourages individuals and groups to plant and care for trees.
