Town of Cornelius issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.
The 11th Annual Light Up Cornelius is less than two weeks away!
Join us behind Cornelius Town Hall on Saturday, November 26, 4-7 p.m., to enjoy music, carriage rides, refreshments, and of course, a visit from Santa!
We will light the tree at 5:45 p.m. Don’t forget your cameras!
Timeline of Events
4:00 p.m. – Cornelius Youth Orchestra performs
4:20 p.m. – Santa Claus arrives
4:50 p.m. – Bailey Singers
5:15 p.m. – North Mecklenburg Community Chorus performs
5:45 p.m. – Tree Lighting ceremony
6:00 p.m. – School of Rock Performs
Festivities will include local performers, horse-drawn carriage rides, craft vendors, photos with Santa Claus, a s’mores station, a model train display, food vendors, and the tree lighting ceremony. Don’t forget your camera!
Concessions available for purchase includes Eleven Lakes Brewing, Big City Bites, It’s Poppin! Gourmet Kettle Korn, and S&K Funnel Cakes.
