Town of Cornelius issued the following announcement on Nov. 21.

Now is a great time to thank those who have helped maintain and improve our disc golf courses! Over 1,150 volunteers hours has been put into both the Bailey Road Park and Robbins Park courses.

Two Eagle Scout projects have added a bridge and stairs on the course between Holes #1 and #2 at the Bailey Road Park course.

Also, there have been numerous projects undertaken at the Bailey Road course by Charlotte DGC under the leadership of the new course managers and the facility has never looked better! A few of the many projects include addressing drainage issues at Hole #1, the practice area was doubled in size and a second basket added, a picnic area was created, and a number of new benches and trashcans were installed.

Some recent work at the Robbins Park course include dead tree removal, mowing, and other general maintenance.

Thank you to all who help to keep our disc golf courses beautiful! If you haven’t had the chance to play these courses recently.
