Cornelius Police Department issued the following announcement on July 8.
The Cornelius Police and Parks & Recreation Departments will host a National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Bailey Road Park, 11536 Bailey Rd.
National Night Out is a FREE event that offers residents an opportunity to meet Local Public Safety Officers and stand together to promote safety, awareness and neighborhood unity. National Night Out is taken part by millions of neighbors across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (With Texas celebrating the first Tuesday in October).
