TOWN OF CORNELIUS: Veterans Day Celebration Nov. 11

Town of Cornelius issued the following announcement on Oct. 24.

Join the Town of Cornelius and American Legion Post 86 for this year’s Veterans Day Celebration. 

This annual, family-friendly program honors military veterans and those currently serving in our Armed Forces. 

The ceremony will be Friday, November 11, 11 a.m.-12 p.m., at Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Avenue.

The Master of Ceremonies will be Randy Wally, Commander of American Legion Post 86. 

The Keynote Speaker will be Stewart Barbee, who served as a photographer with the US Army during the Vietnam War.

 There will also be musical performances by the W.A. Hough High School Concert Choir and Kasi Everhart, a Lake Norman native who has sung patriotic songs at various military service events.
