Town of Huntersville issued the following announcement on July 21.
Weather permitting, the segment of Huntersville-Concord Road between Main Street and Old Statesville Road (HWY115) will be closed starting TUESDAY, JULY 26 for a period not to exceed 30 days for work related to the Main Street Project.
This is a planned closure so crews from Charlotte Water and Blythe Construction can replace water/sewer/stormwater lines on Huntersville-Concord Road.
Traffic will be detoured through the new traffic pattern at the southern roundabout at Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road and along Main Street. Motorists may notice additional crews in the area Monday as part of preparation efforts.
There will be no vehicular traffic on Huntersville-Concord Road during the trench work.
Staff and visitors to Town Hall will be asked to park behind Town Hall or in the parking deck beside Town Center.
