Town of Huntersville issued the following announcement on July 18.

A project to extend Stumptown Road east of NC115 (Old Statesville Road) is anticipated to begin construction in 2026.

This project will feature bike lanes and sidewalks, similar to the existing community.

Seagle Street will also extend north to the new road, which will further enhance the local connectivity.

A drop-in style information session will be held on July 26, 2022, at Huntersville Town Hall (101 Huntersville-Concord Road) for this project.

Citizens are encouraged to drop by anytime between 4-7 PM to learn and offer feedback about this development.
