Town of Mooresville Fire Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 11.

This Friday, December 16, Mooresville Fire-Rescue firefighters will conduct a live burn near Moor Park in Downtown Mooresville with our current recruit class. If this is something that piques your interest and you’d like to be part of our next recruit class, apply to become a Mooresville Firefighter today! 

MFR responds to fires as well as medical calls, water rescues, high angle rescues, HazMat situations, vehicle accidents, and more. MFR is an ISO Class 1 Fire Department and is constantly training to ensure we are prepared for anything. 

Requirements include:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to Obtain Within One Year of Hire*• N.C. Firefighter II Certification• N.C. Emergency Medical Technician or Higher• N.C. Class B Driver’s License• Emergency Vehicle Driving Certification• NIMS 100,200,700,800 *Requirements can be achieved in compensated recruit classes upon hire
