0Comments

Town of Troutman issued the following announcement on Feb. 16.

There will be a controlled burn of about 11 acres at Lake Norman State Park today (the peninsula area where the wildfire of 2020 took place). This will be a quick burn and utilized as a training and practice exercise with N.C. Dept of Natural and Cultural Resources. State Park staff wanted to make the public aware so that people were not alarmed when they saw smoke in the park. Contact Lake Norman State Park at 704-528-6350 with questions.
