Town of Cornelius issued the following announcement on Aug. 28.
A section of Catawba Ave. will be closed to thru traffic on the night of September 1.
Charlotte Water will be installing new water and sewer taps for the Cain Center for the Arts, September 1-3. Work will occur at night on September 1, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. During this night, Catawba will be closed to thru traffic. A detour will be set up on Newcenter Dr., between Milling Way and Jane Crump Way. Work will take place during the day on September 2 and 3 with no planned closure.
