Town of Huntersville Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.

The Huntersville Police Department (HPD) invites you to complete a “Community Survey on Public Safety & Law Enforcement.” It will not take long and is confidential. Your participation will help us improve our services, processes, and reputation. The survey gathers opinions and experiences from members of our community and assesses five key components involving our agency:  Community Involvement, Safety, Procedural Justice, Performance, Contact, and Satisfaction.

Please answer the questions thinking only about the Huntersville Police Department. Please indicate your response to each item by selecting the appropriate answer based on your feelings, opinions, and experiences. You may skip any survey item you do not feel comfortable answering or if it does not apply, but we encourage you to respond to as many as possible. Please answer each question honestly, as there are no right or wrong answers.

The “Community Survey on Public Safety & Law Enforcement”, which the Huntersville Police Department is using, was developed by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, with the support of ICF International and law enforcement experts.

The online survey is available at Huntersville Police Department Community Survey 2022 - PublicInput.com. Printed copies are available at Huntersville Police Department, 9630 Julian Clark Avenue, and Huntersville Town Hall, 101 Huntersville-Concord Road. Completed surveys should be returned to Huntersville Police Department, 9630 Julian Clark Avenue, Huntersville, NC 28078.

This survey will close at 11:59 p.m. on January 15, 2023.
