Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, North Carolina, will offer a series of free virtual seminars in February to mark Heart Health Month Awareness. The online presentations aim to educate the public on various aspects of heart health.
The first seminar, "Heart Attack Awareness," is scheduled for February 5 at noon and will be led by Sydney Lawrence, R.N., BSN, who serves as the chest pain and stroke coordinator at the medical center.
On February 12 at noon, Tiffany Schweitzer, Ph.D., director of imaging and cardiovascular services at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, will present "Who Needs Cardiac CT Calcium Scoring?"
Bernadette Joyce, MS, RD, LDN, a registered dietician at the center, will host a session titled "Nutrition and Heart Health" on February 19 at noon.
The final seminar in the series is "Cardiac Rehab: Regaining Your Strength and Reducing Your Risk," presented by Joe Jackson, an exercise physiologist at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. This session will take place on February 26 at noon.
